Adriana Degreas on INDOCHINE: “On the French Indochine culture, I found the exotic world of colors, textures and the art of expressing natural beauty in a unique and intriguing universe. Asian palm trees were translated on the patterns and Opium flowers applied on the details of the pieces.
Warm and opaque shades like ginger, citronella yellow and brown variations dominate the color palette of Adriana Degreas’s Tropical Geishas.
The mixture of classic and modern pieces appears in pleated silk, attached to the holographic technological fabrics.
Exotic pieces steal the show, composed of sea urchins applied to the transparent bikini tops and turtle forming acrylic cylindrical structures, as well as origami made manually in lycra.
Golden sea shells overlap the pieces of the collection as accessories.
Finally, the franco-brazilian artist Janaina Milheiro contributed with her sofisticated technique in feather fabric painted by hand, presented in pelerine gold under the texturized maillot.
I was inspired by various segments and feelings with the aim of bringing to fashion the exotic and chic presence of Indochine style with its tropical allure.”
