On Instagram, Jamie Lee Curtis shared her emotions after learning that she had been nominated for an Oscar for “Best Supporting Actress” for the film Everything, Everywhere, All at Once. When Jamie found out she had been nominated, she shared videos of her shocked reaction and images of herself taken by a friend on Instagram.
One of the most controversial movies of this genre to appear in 2022 was Halloween Ends. This Michael Myers and Laurie Strode epic finale earned the widest range of reviews since Star Wars: The Last Jedi. After a few months, Michael’s funeral has finally come to a close, and this week, Halloween Ends will be made available on Blu-ray. Prior to the film’s release, Universal unveiled a brand-new behind-the-scenes look that focuses on Jamie Lee Curtis’ legacy as Laurie Strode.
Jamie wrote the caption, which said, “Surprise, it appears like this! One of my oldest friends, Debbie Oppenheimer, texted me about 5:15 to see if she could sit in front of my house and watch the announcements with me. We shook hands.
“That was not even in my box of wildest dreams,” she continued. I’ve always had the impression that I’m on the outside looking in, but I’ve also always been tremendously grateful for any and all opportunities that have come my way. Being a part of this exquisite movie has been the apex of my professional career.
Jamie Lee Curtis has been nominated for an Academy Award for the first time.
