The 95th annual Academy Awards nominees were recently made available to the public. For its musical number Naatu Naatu, the Telugu film RRR by SS Rajamouli was nominated in the Best Original Song category. The MM Keeravani song has inspired audiences to practically dance in the aisles of theatres where it has been performed, and even Anupam Kher is a fan. The iconic actor recently spoke highly of RRR and its song Naatu Naatu, as well as the Vivek Agnihotri-directed film The Kashmir Files, which is no longer eligible for an Oscar in 2023.
Earlier, a number of Indian films reached the list of 301 films that might be nominated for an Oscar in 2023, including Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi and the Kannada film Kantara by Rishabh Shetty. Anupam Kher’s The Kashmir Files was another title on the list.
