BTS makes history with the compilation album “Proof”; Find out

Congratulations are due! The latest weekly album chart from Japan’s Oricon chart showed that ‘Proof’ by BTS was at the top. From June 13 to June 19, BTS sold 514,000 copies of their album “Proof” in Japan, which is a new record. At about the same time, Oricon said, “Proof’s first-week sales of 514,000 copies set a record for the highest first-week sales on our weekly album chart this year.”

Oricon also says that “Proof” has the fifth-highest first-week sales in the history of the Oricon charts. It is in the Top 5 along with BTS’s own albums “BTS, THE BEST” and “MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 The Journey.”

Also, BTS has now broken their own record! With Proof, BTS is the first foreign artist in Oricon’s history to have 10 albums reach the top of the weekly album chart. By doing this, the group keeps their record of having the most No. 1 albums on the chart of any foreign artist.

Billboard shared another “proof” of BTS’s talent earlier on June 22 IST when they said, “For the third time in history, BTS rules all 15 positions on this week’s World Digital Song Sales chart.” They did it again on September 8, 2018, and on March 7, 2020.
