Caleb McLaughlin was hurt by racist fans of Stranger Things.

Stranger Things star Caleb McLaughlin recently talked about confronting racism as a young actor. The actor discussed early comments at the Heroes Comic Con in Belgium on Sunday. McLaughlin wondered why he was unpopular.

McLaughlin discussed how racism as a child affected him during the event “As a kid, it was difficult. Black individuals didn’t stand in my queue at my first Comic-Con. Some individuals said, “I didn’t want to be in your queue because you were harsh to Eleven””

Some people don’t follow or support him because he’s Black, and he feels prejudice overseas. He said “it affected” him as a child. Reflecting on Season 1, he said, “How come I’m unpopular? Followers? I’m on Season 1’s show “Variety.com.”

McLaughlin said he spreads happiness and love and doesn’t return hate. Not only has Caleb faced racist followers. Halle Bailey, who plays Ariel on The Little Mermaid, and Steve Toussaint, who plays Lord Corlys on House of the Dragon, have both received racist comments online.
