Christian Bale didn’t know about the MCU. We’re shocked, too. Christian was asked if he had any misgivings about directing Thor: Love and Thunder after Christopher Nolan’s Batman franchise. Bale rejected the idea immediately. “Nope. I never considered it. People would say, “Oh, see! “He’s in the MCU!”I’ve done what? “I’d ask.” I didn’t enter any crap, thanks. I asked, “The MCU?”“
Christian joked that he googled Gorr the God Butcher, which left him perplexed because the Marvel villain “always wears a G-string.” Bale didn’t think he was right for the role. Taika Waititi persuaded Christian: “Taika swiftly dismissed running in that.” I always thought he could use this in front of a bluescreen to add whatever he wanted. “
