Drishyam 2 has made Rs 100 crore at the box office in less than a week.

Over 100 crore rupees were made within the first week of sales for the Ajay Devgn-starring film Drishyam 2. The movie held up well throughout the week after a strong opening weekend, with daily decreases of only 10%.

Although the genre has its limits, the presence of a sequel has increased the number of people who have seen the film. Only Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva, a pure Hindi film, had a better opening week this year than Drishyam 2.

The movie made roughly Rs. 8.60 crores on its opening Thursday, a decrease of about 10% from Wednesday’s levels and a positive trend. The robust trend has also made sure that the movie will have great retention of shows in its second ticketing week, despite the widely anticipated release of Bhediya.

Drishyam 2 would aim for a second-week domestic figure of about Rs. 50 crore in order to sustain its trajectory toward a lifetime total of more than Rs. 200 crores. Even though it will be challenging, the movie can beat The Kashmir Files in lifetime box office earnings and become the highest-grossing Hindi picture of the year.

The fact that Ajay Devgn is in the movie contributes to its success internationally. The movie will be aiming to cross the $5 million lifetime mark and land a slot among the top 5 foreign grosses of 2022 for an authentic Hindi feature. The international circuit’s first week’s total gross receipts were $3 million.

The daily net India collections for Drishyam 2 are broken out as follows:

15 crore rupees on Friday
Saturday: 21 billion rupees
Sunday: 27 billion rupees
11.75 crore rupees on Monday
10.5 crore rupees on Tuesday

9.65 crore rupees on Wednesday
Thursday: Rs. 8.60 crore
Rs. 103.50 billion in total.
