Variety says that “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” a movie that came out in December 2021, was able to reclaim the top spot in North America over the Labor Day holiday.
Sony re-released the movie with 11 minutes of new footage that some comic book fans found interesting. It made $6 million over the weekend from 3,935 theatres.
“No Way Home” is expected to make $7.6 million on Monday after the long holiday weekend.
With the re-release, “Spider-Man: No Way Home” brought in an extra $812.3 million at the North American box office, making it the third-highest grossing movie in North American history.
