Lena Headey marries Marc Menchaca in Italy; all GoT players attend; details

Lena Headey, who played Cersei Lannister in Game of Thrones, married Marc Menchaca in Italy. The pair married Oct. 6 in Puglia, Italy. Social media shared photos of the bride and groom grinning as they exchanged vows.

Headey, 49, looked lovely in a white gown and veil. The newlyweds were smiling in a photo of them walking together. In one popular photo, Menchaca, 46, wore a blue three-piece suit and held her hand. Lena and Mac’s relationship reportedly got serious last year when she told The Sun she sees herself moving in the US and has a “blossoming connection with Marc” In November 2020, Headey and Menchaca confirmed their relationship.

This Is Where We Live, co-directed, co-written, and starring Menchaca, won the 2013 Heartland Film Festival. In 2018, he played Russ Langmore on Ozark. Marc starred in 2019’s The Sinner, Manifest, and The Outsider. Best actor at the 2016 Breckenridge Film Festival for Reparation.

Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark, attended with husband Joe Jonas. Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) and Lord Varys (Conleth Hill) also attended. Rick Astley attended the star-studded event. Sophie Turner, Michala Cutting, Brian Moore, and Charley McEwan were wedding guests. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Lena’s Game of Thrones love interest, also attended. Kit Harington, Sean Bean, and others weren’t there.

Lena’s third nuptials

Headey’s third wedding is with Menchaca. Peter Paul Loughran was her first husband. In 2013, the couple divorced. Wylie, 11, is their son. After dating director Dan Cadan for 2 years, the actress got engaged. The couple married in 2018 after a six-month courtship. Teddy and her parents divorced in 2019.

She was also linked to Ser Bronn actor Jerome Flynn. After meeting on the production of his 1999 series Soldier Soldier, Jerome and Lena dated in the early 2000s. They never verified their relationship. Flynn named Lena a “great person and actress” in 2019.

Peter Dinklage proposed Headey for Cersei Lannister. Lena’s portrayal of Cersei earned her five Emmy and one Golden Globe nominations. Headey was slated to appear in Thor: Love and Thunder, but her role was deleted for unclear reasons.

Headey’s old agency is suing her for USD 1.5 million over unpaid commission money from multiple films, including her cut Thor: Love and Thunder role. Before Thor, Lena featured in Gunpowder Milkshake, an action thriller directed by Navot Papushado.
