Lil Durk Addresses Allegations, Claims Gunna Is a “Rat” in YSL RICO Case
In a recent interview on DJ Akademik’s Off the Record show, rapper Lil Durk didn’t hold back when referring to Gunna as a “rat” amidst rumors suggesting that Gunna had leaked information following his plea agreement in the YSL RICO case last December.
During the interview, Lil Durk expressed his disappointment, stating, “You should have gone in there and kept your mouth shut,” while gesturing towards Gunna. He also clarified that he never unfollowed Gunna on Instagram, admitting that he doesn’t take social media too seriously. However, he firmly asserted his stance on individuals who cooperate with authorities, saying, “If you a rat, you a rat. If you rewind the clip a little bit, I looked into the camera and I told you, if you a rat, I ****** hate you. Because I love Thug.”
Gunna, on the other hand, vehemently denied any involvement in working with law enforcement on the YSL RICO case. In a statement addressing his plea deal, he made it clear that he had not provided any statements, been interviewed, cooperated, agreed to testify, or intended to be involved in the trial process in any way.
The YSL RICO case revolves around the arrest of Young Thug in May of the previous year. Thugger was charged as the alleged leader of the street gang YSL, also known as Young Slime Life, which was accused of engaging in gang warfare and violating Georgia’s criminal racketeering legislation.
As the legal proceedings continue, the comments made by Lil Durk regarding Gunna’s involvement in the case have sparked a heated conversation within the hip-hop community.
