In the current film Pathaan, Dimple Kapadia plays Shah Rukh Khan’s boss, but she also shines in many other areas. Shah Rukh portrays the senior officer Dimple as a former RAW agent who is a part of a special squad (funnily named JOCR). Nandini might have also been Pathaan’s teacher (Dimple). Dimple didn’t provide her best performance in Siddharth Anand’s Pathaan. Nevertheless, it ranks among her best recent Hindi film performances.

Dimple’s performance in Siddharth Anand’s Pathaan wasn’t the best. But it’s still one of her better recent Hindi film performances.
Dimple is used to giving flawless performances, and her well-built persona just enhances the elegance of her efforts. Dimple’s performance is superb throughout the film, especially in comparison to a performer like Ashutosh Rana.
Dimple’s swag, which may have been characterised by her Hollywood debut (Christopher Nolan’s Tenet), is used well by Pathaan. In two Hindi films after Tenet (A Thursday and Brahmastra Part One Shiva), she was similarly portrayed as an older, confident woman, though not as admirably as in Pathaan.
The movie Pathaan, which is billed as a spy thriller set in the “spy universe” of Yash Raj Films, tells the story of the titular character (played by Shah Rukh Khan as Pathaan) and his attempts to defend India and its citizens while John Abraham (as Jim) and his friends make every effort to attack various parts of the country.
The Pathaan story isn’t all that unique or unusual. There are frequent decisions that defy logic. Nonetheless, the film contains all of the elements that make a film an “entertainer, masala”: humor, romance, suspense, and whistle-worthy moments (not just Salman Khan’s cameo).

It wasn’t until the late 1990s and the beginning of the 2000s that she began to choose fewer roles, and these roles fundamentally altered how older women were portrayed on screen. Dimple chose a small number of passages, from Leela by Somnath Sen to Homi Adajania’s Finding Fanny and Being Cyrus, that allowed women to defy social norms and live the lives they preferred. Her sound judgement can be seen even in her second foray into Bollywood, which is reassuring.
