On Friday morning, Shania Twain announced that the release date of Queen of Me, her sixth studio album, would be February 3. Additionally, she will begin a 49-date world tour!
The Queen of Me tour, which kicks off on April 28 in Spokane, Washington, will take her to key cities in both North America and Europe. She sometimes performs with Kelsea Ballerini, Lindsay Ell, Hailey Whitters, BRELAND, Robyn Ottolini, Priscilla Block, and Mickey Guyton.
The 57-year-old “You’re Still the One” singer posted on Instagram, saying, “I am immensely happy to announce Queen of Me—the new album and tour.”
“I’m feeling quite at ease in my own skin right now, and I think this album musically reflects that,” the author said. I want to be inspired, vibrant, unapologetic, and empowered since life is so brief. I want to send a strong message, especially to women, to never forget their power, and I hope the songs serve as a reminder to you of your own inner strength!
“On my tour, I want to share this new chapter with all of you. Vegas has been a dream, but I can’t wait to hit the road with you and sing, dance, and have a wild night out with you! This one is going to be a big celebration; let’s get a little out of line! No restraints!
I’ll be Queen of Me, and you’ll be Queen of YOU, she said in conclusion.
The music video for Twain’s first song in five years, “Waking Up Dreaming,” was released in September.
