Taylor Swift is set to receive a warm welcome in Glendale, Arizona as the city plans to temporarily change its name in honor of the singer.
The city will reveal its new name through a proclamation that the mayor will read aloud while Swift is in town for her much-awaited The Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium on March 17. The temporary name change will be effective until March 18.
In addition to this, the city’s Westgate Entertainment District retail center will feature greetings for Swift, while local eateries will offer Swift-inspired menu items. Swift will perform in Glendale for two nights on March 17 and 18 before heading to Las Vegas on March 24.
Swift’s new tour features 35 performances with opening acts including Paramore, Beabadoobee, Phoebe Bridgers, Girl in Red, Muna, Haim, Gayle, Gracie Abrams, and Owenn.
