Khloe Kardashian’s ex-boyfriend sent his mother Andrea Thompson a heartfelt letter in which he apologised for all of the “mistakes” he had made. The NBA player had several affairs with the reality TV star and had a child with Maralee Nichols. He wrote a long tribute to his late mother on Instagram.
“Dearest mommy in heaven,” he began his speech, standing next to a series of photos of him and his mother.”You’ve been gone for a month. I’m in disbelief. “I’m in the very depths of sadness and grief.” He went on, “My spirit is empty as I come to terms with the fact that my biggest fan and hero is no longer here.” I can’t thank you enough for always having faith and being one of God’s fighters who fought back against whatever the world threw at us. You always prayed for us and kept us safe. My hero, you had fought all the wars that needed to be fought, so it was time for you to go home. Tristan wrote something.
He went on to say how thankful he was that Andrea had “chosen me as your son” and that she had made “all the sacrifices” for her sons. He also said that nothing Andrea had done for her sons would ever go unnoticed or unappreciated. Then Tristan said, “I’m sorry for your shame and pain.” I’m sorry for all the bad things I’ve done in my life. You took better care of me than I could ever show.
I’ve also learned that saying “I’m sorry” is not enough. Actions have more power than words. I won’t just say sorry, though. Watch out for how I’m going to show the world what a great boy you raised. I’ll show you that even when we make mistakes and fall down, we can get back up. “You are what keeps me going.” Stand with me as I become the man you always knew I could be. I promise to do my best to make you proud. He went on.
In the letter, Tristan also promised to take care of his brother Amari, who has seizures. He wrote that he would “do anything in the world” to make sure Amari was healthy. Andrea died last month after having a heart attack. Tristan helped the Kardashians’ star through his hard times after the terrible thing that happened.
