The Great Indian Kitchen, the 2021 Malayalam hit family drama, has been adapted into Tamil. Aishwarya Rajesh of Vada Chennai will star as Nimisha Sajayan from the original series. Jeyamkondan and Venthaan Vendraan, director R Kannan, directed the Tamil film. The film depicts a housewife’s terrible life as a caregiver.
The trailer shows a girl getting married and how her life changes. To show she’s a nice wife and daughter-in-law, she faces society’s unjust rules daily. The remake retains many sequences from the original but adds its own.
The Great Indian Kitchen also stars Yogi Babu, Kalairani, and Poster Nandakumar. Jerry Silvester Vincent shot the film while Jerry Silvester Vincent composed the music. Leo John Paul edited the Durgaram-Neel Choudhary-produced film. The original Jeo Baby film starred Nimisha Vijayan and Suraj Venjaramoodu.

Pinkvilla also exclusively learned that Jeo Baby would be recreated in Hindi. “Harman Baweja and Vicky Bahri are producing the Hindi adaptation of The Great Indian Kitchen and they intend to take the film on floors by mid-2022,” said a source. Harman and Vicky won the Hindi rights after a bidding war. The crew has begun adapting the plot to Hindi sensibilities.
