Ellen Pompeo has been chosen as the 2022 female TV star, so get ready.
The 2022 People’s Choice Awards were held on December 6 at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. The star of Grey’s Anatomy won the top prize. She was nominated along with Millie Bobby Brown of Stranger Things, Kristen Bell of The Woman in the House Across from the Girl in the Window, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan of Never Have I Ever, Mandy Moore of This Is Us, Mariska Hargitay of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan of Never Have I Ever.
As Ellen took the stage to claim her prize, she thanked the crowd for cheering “so loudly” for the show. Ellen has played Dr. Meredith Grey for 19 seasons of Grey’s Anatomy.
“A nice guy named Zack just told me on my way to the stage, ‘You brought me and my mom closer together,'” she said. Everywhere I go, I hear stories like that every day. And I think we all know that’s the power of stories: they bring us together, and our stories wouldn’t matter if they didn’t touch all of you. “Because of you, we do it.”
Then Ellen called herself a “smart lady” because she agreed with Kris Jenner, who had said earlier in the night, “We’re here tonight because of the fans.”
Ellen went on, “We do have one of the best jobs in the world.” “And without your love and help, we wouldn’t be able to do it.”
Ellen’s last full-time episode of Dr. Grey will air on ABC on February 23. She recently took to social media to thank fans for their support during her time on the show. In an Instagram post on November 17, she said, “I am forever grateful and humbled by the love and support you have all shown me, Meredith Grey, and the show for 19 seasons.” “Without the best fans in the world, none of it would have been possible.” You’re all riders, and you’ve made the ride so fun and famous!
But Ellen is just saying goodbye for now, since she also wrote that she’ll “definitely be back to visit.”
Ellen has been getting ready to leave Grey’s for a while since it was announced in August that she would only have a “limited role” in season 19.
Also, in an interview with Insider in December 2021, the actress said, “I’ve been trying to convince everyone that [Grey’s Anatomy] should end.”
She also said, “I feel like I’m the super-naive one who keeps asking, “But what’s the story going to be?” “What story are we going to tell?” Everyone is like, “What does it matter, Ellen?” “It brings in a lot of money.”
Please know that Ellen won’t be gone from TV for long before you die of a heart attack. The mother of three children will star in and be in charge of a new limited series on Hulu.
The unnamed project is based on a true story in which adoptive parents from Ukraine who lived in the US said that their adult adopted daughter was a con artist.
