When the USC Marching Band showed up for the wedding of his wife, Holly, Rodney Robinson was “struck.”

Holly Robinson Peete is adept at pulling off a tremendous shock. When it came to the actress’ 1995 nuptials to NFL quarterback Rodney Peete, she knew she wanted to go big.

“Rodney stunned and startled me in 1994 on the Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper with what I believe to be arguably the best proposal ever,” Peete, 58, exclusively tells news.I was determined to get him back! Well, I did on the wedding day.

He adores the USC marching band, and I managed to persuade them to come for us. They are so numerous that it would not have been conceivable. (Peete, 56, was the University of Southern California’s quarterback.)

They waited in a bus for a little over an hour before they had to ascend the hill from the site. He felt astounded. “I got my Trojan quarterback back nice,” she recalls. When the Trojan battle song was played all the way down the aisle, I believe Rodney and his Trojan groomsmen started to cry. I’ll always be grateful to Mr. Art Bartner, USC, and this band for that occasion! Fighting on!”

The pair, who are the parents of twins Ryan Elizabeth Peete and Rodney Peete, Jr., 25, as well as sons Roman, 17, and Robinson, 20, got married on June 10, 1995, in Brentwood, California.

In September 2022, Rodney posted a birthday message on Instagram for his wife, who is 27.

“Happy birthday to my amazing wife @hollyrpeete!” he stated in a previous post. “Thanks for being there for my family and me no matter what. For more than half of my time on this planet, I have loved and respected you, and I will continue to do so. “You make me better, baby!”

The 20-second hug, according to Holly, is the couple’s easy ritual for preserving a happy marriage in 2021.

She told First for Women that “the rule is you have to give each other a hug for 20 complete seconds when one or the other asks for it, regardless of how you’re feeling at the moment.” According to the speaker, there is something about the first 15 seconds that are simply held, but after that, the pheromones take control, and it really works for us.
